Very long drive today with a stop at a small town (preserved) called Lincoln. This is where Pat Garrett was Sheriff and from where Billy the Kid escaped, killing some men in the process as he fled the court house. Garrett, at a letter date, shot the Kid dead in Fort Summer some miles away.
Also en route, we stopped at the continental divide which was good.
